General Manager
John Scott
John rejoined the Montreux team in 2013 after he was our previous Food & Beverage Director in the fall of 2009. John was brought on to oversee all of the day-to-day Clubhouse and Fitness Center operations including food and beverage, special events, banquets, Jack's Den, the pool area and facilities.His extensive background includes duties as assistant general manager at Charlie Palmer's Steak House, as food & beverage director for the Reno Aces, and as food and beverage manager at the Sands Hotel, Lakeridge Golf Course, and the Resort at Redhawk. He also served as a chef at Caesars Entertainment and was a previous restaurant owner. John brings a wealth of hospitality knowledge and has a warm demeanor and polished service style.
Ruth Coutts
Doug Heinrichs
Doug joined the Montrêux team in January of 1999. After nine years in the Palm Springs area as Superintendent of two different courses, he jumped at the chance of experiencing much cooler summer temperatures and the opportunity that Montrêux provided. Doug started his career at his hometown course in Carroll, Iowa at age 13. He received his education at Iowa State University with a degree in Horticulture. He also has experience at courses such as Medina Country Club in Chicago, Illinois; Birmingham Country Club in Birmingham, Alabama and Denver Country Club in Denver, Colorado, which adds up to over twenty-two years of experience in golf course maintenance. At the end of each day, Doug is greeted by his wife and their two children. Being an outdoor enthusiast, Doug fell in love with the Reno/Tahoe area instantly and enjoys skiing and snowmobiling in the winter and working, with a little fishing and boating on the side, in the summer.
Director of Food and Beverage
Marcos Aguirre
Marcos Aguirre came to Reno last March to visit his father for two weeks... and has been here ever since! He originally worked at Montrêux from 2000 up until 2010 as the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager. Montrêux is a home away from home for Marcos, where the Members feel like family and a day of work is a promise of fun that doesn’t feel like a regular job. When he returned last year, it felt like a homecoming and he was welcomed with open arms. As the Food & Beverage Manager, he’s been successful in his role and credits his success to the great staff and fantastic Members that make our community so great. He feels incredibly lucky to be surrounded by mentors, role models and supportive, true family.
Fitness Director
Brett Jaekle
Brett joined Montrêux in 2010 after working for the University of Nevada Athletic Department. He is a Certified Personal Trainer and a graduate of the University of Nevada with a Bachelor of Arts degree in General Studies-Health. Brett played football for the Wolf Pack and brings a varied sports background to Montrêux.
Director of Golf
Zach Jonas
In his 12th season at Montreux, Zach is a PGA Class A Professional that is currently serving on the Sierra Nevada Chapter Board as the Education Chairman. Zach is Certified in General Management and continues to expand his credentials in golf club operations.With experience from multiple private clubs, including two winter seasons at Big Horn Golf Club in Palm Desert, California, Zach directs first class member and guest golf events at Montreux while also coordinating a great team effort throughout the golf team.
Director of Marketing and Membership Sales
Jackie Latragna
Jackie joined us in August 2017 as the Director of Marketing and Membership. Jackie is an alumna of the University of Nevada, Reno and a current MBA candidate. She has lived in Northern Nevada almost her whole life and is very passionate about the local community. For 4 years, she was the Marketing Director for Parc Foret and worked together with the Club to market the community on a local and national level. In her spare time, you'll find her volunteering at the Humane Society, or hiking in our beautiful area."
